Why Do Athletes Have A Reputation For Wild Sex Encounters?
It feels like every four years there is a kinky story that goes around that athletes during the Olympic Games and other athletic competitions have such wild encounters that their bedrooms have anti-sex beds to stop them.
The idea, according to reports that made claims about anti-sex beds is that they would be so small and made of relatively fragile cardboard that they would not take a raunchy encounter with a sex toy, let alone an orgy of athletes.
It must be said that these rumours are false; the beds are made out of cardboard for sustainability reasons, but they are exceptionally strong and can take the considerable mass of weightlifters and judoka.
The similar cardboard beds supplied for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games claimed a weight limit of 200kg, which is enough for two people. One viral video saw an athlete jump onto the bed with no issue, making the notion that even the kinkiest encounter would cause it to collapse quite laughable.
That aside, it would be ridiculous for the Olympics to have anti-sex beds but also distribute hundreds of thousands of condoms and dental dams to ensure that athletes get steamy safely.
However, it is true that sex is absolutely rampant during and after athletic competition, but why is this the case? What makes athletes particularly horny in the bedroom when they are at peak performance outside of it.
Pent-Up Energy
Condoms have been distributed at the Olympics since the 1980s, and over the two weeks every four years the games take place, sex between athletes is rampant.
It may seem obvious why sex is so common around sporting events, but whilst it is true that a lot of incredibly physically fit people being around each other is going to inevitably lead to some chemistry, physical attraction isn’t the only reason why there is so much sex.
Generally, athletes are on a very rigorous and disciplined regime leading up to the Games, with nearly every aspect of their lives monitored and refined for peak performance.
Coaches are particularly cautious about their athletes having sex because the body needs to recharge that energy and it produces a tension that can sometimes be beneficial for competition.
However, once the event is over, all of that stress, tension and sheer thrill of competing disappears, and athletes are left with a lot of energy and often nothing to do with it.
With thousands of athletes around with the same energy, that leads to a lot of parties which in turn leads to a huge amount of sex.
As well as this, the adrenaline and dopamine hits flowing around decrease feelings of stress, intensify emotions and inflame sexual desires, so athletes who win or even place better than expected have a cocktail of positive hormones flowing around.
With all of that passion flowing around, sex is inevitable, and coaches, administrators and governing bodies long stopped trying to put a halt to it despite the “anti-sex bed” claims, but instead have ensured that people are being safe with their kinky encounters instead.
